Bimmers One night, while driving my 2000 E46 BMW 323i, I tried to open my sunroof, and heard an omnious loud crunch; it sounded as if my sunroof had self-destructed. In the aftermath, I found that the sunshade was completely loose, and had jumped its tracks...

After being too busy too look at it for over a year, I finally bit the bullet and repaired it. Here is mycomplete step-by-step procedure for repairing the sunroof's sliding shade on a 2000 E46 323i:
