NEWS: Breakthrough in OmniFi Firmware Hacking Efforts!
Posted on Thursday, May 26 @ 13:51:30 PDT by lincomatic

OmniMedia OmniFi Hardware hacker extraordinaire Chad has made extraordinary progress in analyzing the DMP1/DMS1 hardware architecture. He has posted memory maps, serial interface, romdump code, etc too the OmniFi Wiki ...

Most importantly, he created a utility, available for download from the Yahoo Omnifi Group File Archive, which allows you to decrypt/encrypt the firmware. Efforts are underway to figure out how to re-create the cramfs filesystem, embedded in the firmware, which contains all the goodies to alter the behavior of the DMP1/DMS1. Join the hacking effort in the Yahoo Omnifi Group, and help us fix the bugs and extend the functionality of your Omnifi hardware.
